Open an FML file in FloorPlanner
Received .fml from Funda2FML? Here is how to import it correctly in FloorPlanner — and how to get .fml if you do not have one yet.
Open .fml in FloorPlanner
Step 1
Save the .fml file
Download from email or your profile on funda2fml.nl. Keep locally in Downloads.
Step 2
New project in FloorPlanner
Sign in at FloorPlanner.com and start a new or existing project.
Step 3
Choose Import — not Upload image
Use Import for .fml. Uploading a JPG does not give editable walls.
Step 4
Verify scale
Measure one known dimension. Extra important for AI exports.
No .fml yet?
- Paste Funda link on funda2fml.nl → free preview.
- Pay only when export is possible.
- Extension: convert on the Funda page itself.
FAQ
FloorPlanner does not recognize my .fml
Check the file ends with .fml and re-download from your email.
Can I open on iPad?
FloorPlanner works best on desktop; import via the web app.
Import vs open?
Import puts walls and rooms in your project — that is what you want for editing.
